White House Halloween
halloween at the white house

Design In Mind Events owner, Amy, had the honor of being the Event Coordinator for the Bezark Company at the

2010 White House Halloween.  The "spooktacular" event is thrown for the local students and children of military families.

Amy oversaw the booking of performances which included a high energy cirque-style act by "Playing by Air Productions," and

hoop dancing instruction from "Hoop Dance DC."  First Lady Eisenhower was the first to celebrate Halloween at the

White House and the celebration has expanded over the years.

Louisville Water Tower
au naturel styled shoot

Looking for a perfect location to celebrate a special occasion, consider your local parks!  Greenery is this year’s pantone color, but what if your backdrop is already filled with greenery?  I say, enhance the look with additional layers, such as bold succulents and blooming plants.  Continue to embrace the “au naturel” setting by adding the following decorative items:  clay floral vessels, rocks, wicker baskets, bamboo and other natural woods.
